UNTITLED. Aviram Waldman photographs bubbles of time - remnants that have frozen and reveal the damage that Western culture is trying to hide. Ruined houses, a secluded circus in the middle of a forest, tourists sunbathing on huge dunes, mountain ranges lit by huge spotlights, abandoned animals - for him, these moments of life are nothing but living reminders of the world gone by and so he tries to capture them with his camera. "Man destroys the human and conquers the natural, then builds there and then destroys again. But I see it as something more holistic, a kind of continuous and endless life trajectory. The line between life and death is not clear, and death is part of life, like destruction.
AVIRAM VALDMAN, Israel, has exhibited his art in galleries and museums all over the world, for example in Tel Aviv Museum and CAFA Art Museum, Beijing. He graduated with a Master in photography at the Bezalel Art Academy, Jerusalem, 2010. Aviram goes the extra mile in his art projects and sometimes ends up in situations and locations that most of the people prefer to stay away from.
